SkyAngle Classic Series Parachutes feature an innovative, multicolored extended-panel design reinforced with a continuous, uninterrupted run of mil-spec flat tubular nylon suspension lines around the outside of the canopy. Engineered for rocketry enthusiasts and researchers by rocket enthusiasts, SkyAngle's sport a design asymmetry that enhances the natural tendency of the ‘chute to spin. This spinning characteristic is beneficial to the recovery process on many levels. Primarily, the spinning minimizes the damaging oscillation, flopping, and pulsation often seen in some parachutes. This control results in a much more stable recovery than normally possible with other brands. Also, spinning prevents canopy collapse and aids in tracking at altitude. The inclusion of our heavy-duty nickel plated swivel assembly virtually ensures a tangle-free recovery!
As one might expect, the unique extended panel design of the SkyAngle greatly enhances the drag properties of the ‘chute.
